1June 27th, 2014 - Friday night found Derek Groomer back in familiar territory at Bloomington Speedway (Bloomington, Indiana), and he would score his third feature win of the year in his #04 Groomer Motorsports Open Wheel Modified.

Nineteen competitors registered for battle, and Derek started his night by charging from sixth to finish second in his heat race to lock into the second starting spot for the feature. In the main event Groomer bolted to the race lead over Greg Amick at the drop of the green flag and never looked back on his way to the victory, which came over Devin Gilpin, Greg Amick, Chad Combs, and John Demoss.

1June 21st, 2014 - Bloomington Speedway (Bloomington, Indiana) was the destination for Derek Groomer Racing on Friday evening. Twenty-two UMP Open Wheel Modifieds registered for the Weekly Racing Series program at the oval. A seventh to fourth run in heat race action would earn Derek the eleventh starting spot on the feature grid. 1Saturday evening found the team pitted at Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Indiana) for a Weekly Racing Series program at the historic 1/4 mile oval. A field of twenty UMP Open Wheel Modified entered the event, and a heat race win would position Derek on the pole for the finale. During the course of the feature Groomer battled at the front of the pack for much of the event before crossing the finish line in third behind race winner Ryan Thomas, and Jared Bailey. 1June 13th, 2014 - Derek Groomer Racing made the trek to Bloomington Speedway (Bloomington, Indiana) on Friday night for an Open Wheel Modified Weekly Racing Series event.

Twenty-five entries registered for battle as Derek started his outing strong. A heat race win positioned him starting outside the front row of the feature, alongside Kent Robinson. When the race went green Groomer assumed the point over Robinson on the opening lap. Derek had nearly a straightaway advantage over Robinson until disaster struck on lap eight. Right front suspension damage forced Groomer to retire to a disappointing 20th place finish in the final rundown.

1June 6th, 2014 - Derek Groomer returned to Bloomington Speedway (Bloomington, Indiana) for a Weekly Racing Series program at the oval. Twenty-one Open Wheel Modifieds were on hand for the event, and a sixth to third run in heat race action locked Derek into the ninth starting spot on the grid for the feature. During the course of the main event, Groomer advanced five positions to finish fourth behind race winner, Devin Gilpin, Greg Amick, and Joe Godsey.
