April 24th, 2015 - Derek Groomer returned to Bloomington Speedway (Bloomington, Indiana) on Friday night for the 2nd Annual J.B. Robinson Memorial, which was sanctioned by the American Modified Series (AMS).

Twenty-seven entries registered for battle, and a second place finish in heat race action locked Derek into the $2,000-to-win main event. Unfortunately, issues in the 30-lap feature resulted in Groomer retiring early to a disappointing fifteenth place finish in the final rundown.

April 17th, 2015 - Derek Groomer traveled to Bloomington Speedway (Bloomington, Indiana) on Friday night for a Weekly Racing Series event.

Nineteen Open Wheel Modified converged on the oval, and a second place finish in heat race action would earn Groomer the second starting spot for the main event. During the course of the feature, Derek battled the handle on his #D48 Gentle Dentist entry, settling to a sixth place finish in the final rundown.

April 4th, 2015 - Derek Groomer was back in action on Saturday night with a trip to Lawrenceburg Speedway (Lawrenceburg, Indiana) for a UMP Weekly Racing Program.

A stout field of thirty-three UMP Open Wheel Modifieds were registered for battle, and Derek starting his outing by drawing the sixth starting position for his heat race. He later advanced to a fourth place finish, earning him the sixteenth starting spot for the main event. During the course of the feature, Groomer battled around mid-pack for much of the event before crossing the finish line in the fifteenth position.
