Behind the wheel of the Groomer Asphalt Paving #D48 Open Wheel Modified, Derek Groomer made his way back to Lincoln Park Speedway (Putnmaville, Indiana) on Saturday night to a field of 28 cars. Improving one spot in his heat, Groomer scored a heat race win earning him the pole starting spot for the feature. Storming to his fourth straight victory and sixth overall, Derek topped Travis Shoulders, Bill Haager, Kenny Carmichael Jr., and Jay Humphrey Jr. at the finish line.

July 23rd, 2016 -
Looking for his third straight win, Derek Groomer returned to Lincoln Park Speedway (Putnamville, Indiana) on Saturday night. Competing in a stout field of twenty-five cars, Groomer charged to a heat race win giving him a 2nd place starting spot for the feature alongside Travis Shoulders. Bringing home his third straight victory and sixth overall on the season, Derek outdueled Shoulders, Randy Shuman, Dan Lewellen, and Brad Barrow in the A-Main.

Making his way back to Lincoln Park Speedway (Putnamville, Indiana), Derek Groomer was one of twenty-five Open Wheel Modifieds signed in for the regular night of racing. Improving three positions in his heat, Derek cruised to a heat race win giving him a 4th place starting spot for the main event. Going back-to-back, Groomer soared to his second straight victory and fifth overall on the season with Jenny Carmichael Jr., Bradley Sterrett, Jordan Weaver, and Jay Humphrey Jr. trailing him to the checkers. Piloting the Gentle Dentist #D48 Open Wheel Modified, Derek Groomer visited Lincoln Park Speedway (Putnamville, Indiana) to a field of twenty-five cars. Gaining three positions in his heat, Groomer stormed to a heat race win securing his spot into the dash. Capturing a dash win, Derek was set to start on the pole of the feature event.
