June 24th, 2017 - After Mother Nature axed his plans for Friday night at Terra Haute Action Track (Terra Haute, Indiana), Derek Groomer headed to Lincoln Park Speedway (Putnamville, Indiana) on Saturday looking to keep his three-race win streak intact. In a field of 25 cars, Groomer gained three spots in his heat race to place 3rd. Earning the 9th-starting positon for the A-Main, Dereck charged through the field seven spots reeling in a runner-up finish behind James Boller with Jeff Deckard, Kenny Carmichael Sr., and John Grenier Jr. completing the Top 5 finishers.

June 17th, 2017 -
Derek Groomer visited Bloomington Speedway (Bloomington, Indiana) on Friday night for the Bloomington Speedway Series event. After registering a runner-up finish in his heat race, Groomer ran into mechanical issues in the feature preventing him from finishing.

Saturday night brought Groomer to Lincoln Park Speedway (Putnamville, Indiana) competing in a field of 23 Open Wheel Modifieds. Passing four cars in his heat race, Derek landed a runner-up finish behind John Grenier Jr. locking him into the 2nd-starting position for the feature. Storming to the front, Groomer wheeled his way to his third straight win at the speedway topping Kenny Carmichael Jr., Tyler Loughmiller, John Grenier Jr., and Jay Humphrey Jr. at the finish line.

June 10th, 2017 -
Behind the wheel of the Gentle Dentist #D48 Open Wheel Modified, Derek Groomer returned to Lincoln Park Speedway (Putnamville, Indiana) on Saturday night. With 31 cars signed in for battle, Groomer secured his spot into the feature with a heat race win from the 2nd-starting position. Rolling off 3rd, Derek charged his way into the lead early picking up his second straight win over Dan Lewellen, Richie Lex, Kenny Carmichael Sr., and Jay Humphrey Jr.

June 3rd, 2017 -
Derek Groomer returned to Lincoln Park Speedway (Putnamville, Indiana) on Saturday night competing in a field of 24 Open Wheel Modifieds. Passing three cars in his heat race, Groomer picked up the win positioning him 3rd on the starting grid for the feature. Wheeling his way to the front, Derek Groomer reeled in his first win of the season topping John Grenier Jr., Kenny Carmichael Sr., Michael Fish, and RJ Pruitt.
