Derek Groomer grabs a pair of runner-up finishes at Bloomington

Friday night found Derek Groomer in action at Bloomington Speedway (Bloomington, Ind.) pulling double duty for the Labor Day weekend special.

Aboard his No. D48 Modified for the Josh Burton Memorial Race, Derek followed up a heat race win with a second-place showing in the 20-lap feature. He trailed Jordan Wever to the checkers with John DeMoss, John Clippinger, and Jeff Deckard completing the Top-5 finishers.

He also piloted the Sasser Motorsports No. 11 Super Stock to a second-place finish in the feature.

Saturday’s event at Lincoln Park Speedway (Putnamville, Ind.) was rained out and Sunday’s program at Circle City Raceway (Indianapolis, Ind.) was postponed to October 2nd.
