Derek Groomer records three wins in three divisions at Paragon
Derek Groomer made the short trip to Paragon Speedway (Paragon, Ind.) on Friday afternoon to compete in multiple divisions for the two-day special.
Following a sixth-place finish in the Crate Late Model feature, Groomer parked his Groomer Asphalt Paving No. D48 Modified in the winner's circle in the A-Main. He went from third-to-first on lap 17 and led the final three circuits to register his fourth win of the season.
With his Modified sitting idle on Saturday, Derek hopped behind the wheel of the Sasser Motorsports No. D48 Super Stock as well as competing in the Crate Late Model ranks. Starting in second for the Late Model main event via heat race win, Groomer led wire-to-wire in the 40-lapper to capture the $3,000 payday. He finished 1.098 seconds ahead of Marty O’Neal with Steve Peeden, Tyler Neal, and Raymond Humphrey rounding out the top-five.
Collecting his third win of the weekend and sixth overall on the season in the Super Stock feature, Groomer soared to the 20-lap victory.
