Derek Groomer picks up podium finish with Ultimate Heart of America at Paragon
With the Ultimate Heart of America Series visiting one of Groomer's frequent tracks, Derek brought out his Millikan Smiles No. 48 Super Late Model for the $5,000-to-win event on Saturday evening.
Qualifying seventh-fastest in his group, Groomer finished fourth in his heat race which earned him a fifth-row starting spot in the A-Main. Using all 40-laps to his advantage, Derek raced to a podium finish as he trailed Devin Gilpin and Rodney Melvin.
